We prioritize basalt rock, which has a low environmental impact and is abundantly available as one of the Earth's most common minerals.

2. Improving Factory Performance

Sustainability is a long-term commitment rooted in science and action. Our ambitious climate goals are aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a global framework that ensures corporate climate action is measurable with science-based reduction targets. This includes reducing absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 38% by 2034 and Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 20% by 2034.

3. Publishing EPDs

Rockfon prioritized publishing product specific Environmental Product Declarations to transparently report Global Warming Potential (GWP). Rockfon ceiling tile EPD’s report values based on factory, thickness, and edge-type.

At Rockfon, the core of our ceiling tiles is made out of stone wool. Volcanic rock is one of nature’s most abundant resources. As molten lava cools, it forms a unique combination of strength, durability and resilience.
