German Volkswagen has the accelerator at the bottom when it comes to the ambitions for the green transition of the mobility of the future. This should be reflected in the car brand's new showroom, Volkswagen City Studio, which opened its doors for the first time in March at the new address in Industriens Hus in the capital:

"We have been very much looking forward to welcoming Danes to our new premises, where in addition to experiencing our latest electric models, they can also gain insight into Volkswagen's visions for the electrified mobility of the future", says Martin Orthmann Thorsen, Marketing Manager at Volkswagen Denmark. He continues: "It has been important for us to create an environment that exudes exclusivity and creates the right atmosphere. It is crucial that you as a visitor experience that it is nice to be here, so you feel like spending a little extra time in business. "

Ceilings with consideration for the environment and indoor climate

The exclusive atmosphere is helped along the way by wood-clad walls and acoustic Rockfon Color-all® ceilings in a deep black tone, which with sound-absorbing properties help to create a comfortable indoor environment for both guests and employees.

The ceilings are supplied by the acoustics manufacturer Rockfon, who has had the environment in mind when the existing white ceiling tiles had to be replaced with the new blacks: "There has been a focus on recycling as much as possible, and therefore the existing rail system has been used in combination. "with the new, black ceiling tiles that give a whole new look to the space. In addition, the decomposed, white Rockfon ceiling has been sent for recycling via our recycling scheme," explains Nicholai Max Gringer, Project Sales Manager at Rockfon.

Recycling scheme gives new life to obsolete ceilings

The recycling scheme has thus taken care of the used stone wool ceilings, which have been returned to production, where they are transformed into new products. This minimizes waste, and the new owners are happy: "To help sustainability on the way in our showroom, we chose to make use of Rockfon's recycling scheme so that the 'old' ceilings can be given new life elsewhere. This is important for Volkswagen to contribute with what we can now, big and small, even if it is not just about cars ", says Martin Orthmann Thorsen.

Niels Fæster from Multiwork, who as project manager has had a good hand in the transformation of Volkswagen's new premises, concludes: "On the project, we have benefited from the sparring and capacity that Rockfon has offered, as they as a supplier have had "They have not only recommended the recycling scheme, but also provided ceilings in special sizes and with a delivery time that has ensured a planned process, so that Volkswagen City Studio can now bid inside the new framework."
