Modern architecture puts good acoustics at the forefront

In the autumn of 2019, Vejen's new town hall was completed after an extensive renovation. The purpose of the renovation was based on a great desire to create a more modern building with a focus on a good indoor climate and working environment. The acoustic solutions Rockfon Blanka® and Rockfon® Mono® Acoustic, with their acoustic and aesthetic properties, were ideal for the wishes of the new town hall. The town hall now offers a brighter and more sound-friendly atmosphere, which has a positive impact on the indoor climate and the working environment.

A town hall must be open to citizens to visit every single day, which is why one must expect a lot of movement that can make noise. In addition, buildings that are open - as in large office offices with an open office landscape - will naturally also bring noise and disturbance with them. Therefore, good acoustics are especially important for a town hall, where employees work closely together in the office landscape, from where they talk to all the citizens who come by daily.

A good indoor climate is essential for a good working environment. A bad indoor climate affects concentration, stress levels and productivity. That is why it is incredibly important to create a good indoor climate, both for the employees but also for the visiting citizens.

 

The road's new town hall has been built with a focus on a good indoor climate to ensure a good working environment. To meet this, one must consider factors such as sound, light and air. The acoustic solutions used have high sound absorption and therefore ensure a comfortable sound level. In addition, the acoustic panels also have a special property in relation to light scattering, where daylight is drawn in and distributed further out into the room. The natural light also has a positive effect on the indoor climate.

A town hall is visited daily by many citizens, at the same time as it serves as a workplace for the employees. The materials in the building must therefore be able to withstand many people's daily visits to the town hall. The acoustic solutions used have an anti-static surface that makes the materials resistant to dirt and wear, which prolongs the life of the products.

Many public buildings are often characterized by dull and monotonous architecture. That can no longer be said about Vejen town hall. The new town hall contains a combination of classic and modern architecture that complements each other to the full, so that the building at the same time appears static and dynamic.

 

The building seems open with its bright facade, which is a style that continues within the City Hall doors with a combination of wood and white elements, including Rockfon Blanka and Rockfon Mono Acoustic. The open architecture gives citizens a warm welcome from the moment they stand outside the town hall until they are inside.
