Comfortable and flexible workspaces
The main challenge of the Urssaf office rehabilitation project was to provide spaces for teamwork and well-being at work. The project also reinvented itself during the health crisis to find concrete issues related to the hybrid organization of work. The design had to propose here adapted and adaptable solutions, which also met the expectations of the agents, previously consulted on this.
The architecture agency Imagine designed the most «agile» spaces possible on the model of the offices of tomorrow. In particular, the differentiation of spaces was developed through the treatment of ceilings, luminaires and acoustic elements. For example, acoustic modelling was carried out by the Pialot Escande Technical and Acoustic Design Office in order to provide a suitable treatment for the design of each space, as explained by Luc Escande, director of the B.E.T. Pialot Escande: "In situ measurements allowed us to assess the need for acoustic solutions by proposing different types of modelling.”
The acoustic ceiling system, Rockfon Matt White, extra withe, smooth and matt, as the grids, is perfectly adapted to flex-office spaces. Its discrete modular installation makes it possible to adapt to all forms of space design. The Rockfon Blanka Matt White system has been installed in the open-space areas, the training rooms, as well as in the meetings room and the corridors. It has also been installed on different levels of height, more or less close to the plenum, to bring volume to the office areas.
"The idea was to offer the most «agile» places possible,” stresses Solveig Orth, architect of the agency Imagine.
The addition of Rockfon Soundstop acoustic barriers in the plenum for the individual offices on the first floors made it possible to bring real acoustic comfort.
Acoustic solutions that accompany the design
Other spaces, such as the lunch area area and corridors, have benefited from additional Rockfon Color-all ceiling and island solutions. In the lunch area area, a ceiling in shades of grey of the Color-all range has been installed, but also Eclipse Colour Azure islands of rectangular shape, which discreetly accompany the friendly design of this place. The palette of the Color-all range adapts perfectly to the tones and materials chosen by the design. In the reception area on the ground floor, there are white Rockfon Eclipse islands Circles that punctuate the ceiling and highlight the adjacent light circles.
We have very positive feedback on the aesthetic character of the places. We wanted to make a strong distinction between workplaces and exchanges so that staff could find a suitable place for each moment of the day.” , says Vincent Paret, Director of Human Resources at Urssaf Languedoc-Roussillon.
Agile office design
The main advantage of this project has been the cohesion between the project manager and the project owner throughout the project.
Rockfon acoustic solutions, ceilings and islands, have met the acoustic and aesthetic requirements of these flexible offices.
"There is only good feedback on both workspaces and usability spaces. This place is very positive for the organization’s image, it qualifies our brand image and is very useful because it is flexible and adapts easily", concludes Vincent Paret.
