Colors and faith in the future characterize Ebbepark in Linköping
In the middle of Linköping, a completely new and unique place is taking shape - Ebbepark. The area, which involves a completely new type of inner city environment with a focus on sustainability, well-being and innovative solutions, consists of four blocks with, among other things, business premises, cafés, housing and training premises. On September 8, the part called Spektrum was inaugurated, which with its 6 floors, offices, lounge and coworking forms a hub for the area's business life. Rockfon has delivered ingenious and flexible acoustic solutions which, in harmony with the architectural ambitions, have resulted in bright rooms where the colors create atmosphere.
The city is buxxing with life
Linköping is a city that is buzzing with life, which is fortified by Ebbepark where present and future radiate together and offers both companies and private individuals opportunities to develop and work in a dynamic environment. Newly inaugurated Spektrum is created to stimulate interaction and therefore it has been important to be able to elevate the indoor environment through innovative choices and solutions. Rockfon has, among other things, delivered Rockfon System Eclipse Island, which is a frameless acoustic suspended ceiling solution in several geometric shapes. Hanna Ransjö at Winell & Jern Arkitekter who is responsible for the project talks about the benefits:
- It has worked very well to work with acoustic queues and it has given us great freedom when we have designed the premises. One of the biggest advantages has been that we have been able to choose freely between different NSC colors, which has made it easy to combine the suspended ceiling solution with other materials and colors.
The choice of colors has not been a coincidence but is a natural consequence of the vision for the place:
- During the process, we have had different keywords for the different parts, both to create environments that serve their purpose and also to make it easier for those who are here to orient themselves. For example, Care Nature, where we have chosen green suspended ceilings from Rockfon and places for Inspire, Combine and Make where we have worked more with contrasts.
Many opportunities and few limitations
Kim Eklöf, who is a project consultant at Rockfon, emphasizes that the customer should get what they want and be able to be true to their vision, which means both accessibility and flexibility:
- We have a strong focus on meeting the customer's needs and being responsive to their wishes. We have been very focused on colors in Ebbepark, which is a place where creativity should flow and we have delivered 9 different NSC colors. In addition, we can produce completely specific shades and colors if desired. If the customer does not have a clear vision of exactly what they want on the color and shape front, you can get advice from Rockfon.
- You can get advice directly from our sales consultants or from customer service who are very knowledgeable. Our technical manager, who is very close to the market, is also happy to be of service, Kim Eklöf concludes.
