The combination of the classic with the modern to guarantee a unique stay

The 5-star hotel El Llorenç is located in the old town of Palma de Mallorca, in the exceptional neighborhood of La Calatrava, a few meters from the cathedral and with exceptional views of the sea. In 2019, this surprising and welcoming design hotel opened its doors, letting the world see how it perfectly combines luxury, design and comfort.

Swedish designer Magnus Ehrland, was looking for a timeless and authentic style that would last over time. By combining different Arabic star pattern tiles, adding botanical designs and different greenery, Ehrland achieved an extravagant, luxurious and unique design. In addition to the design, the hotel has special features such as the challenge faced by the architect Pedro Rabassa, when an 11th century Arabic oven was found during construction and which he finally incorporated into the design of the hotel.

The hotel services provide the guest with the best of experiences

Combining the particularities of classic design, with some innovative aspects, Ehrland managed to seamlessly blend the hotel's original façade together with the luxurious and exotic design of the interior. The Llorenç has thirty-three rooms with extraordinary views of the Bay of Palma and the Parc de la Mar, and all of them have a timeless design that combines different warm and calm tones with the recurring Arabic star floor.

The Hotel has two restaurants, Tannur and Dins. Tannur is a more casual option and offers typical Mallorcan and Mediterranean food throughout the day. On the other hand, Dins, which has a Michelin Star, offers a gastronomic experience by the renowned island chef Santi Taura. This restaurant offers a more intimate atmosphere for diners and has a show-cooking counter, where you can see the cooks while they prepare the food and the exhibition of the Arab oven from the 11th century.

Another of the exceptional services offered by the hotel is a spa that recalls the Arab hammams and the bygone days of the Calatrava neighborhood, which continues to maintain characteristic components of Arab design and architecture. The spa houses a 14-meter heated pool, a sauna and a Turkish bath, which will make users disconnect from the outside world and enjoy the most comfortable experience inside the hotel.

On the roof, at the height of the impressive Cathedral of Mallorca, there is an oasis within the city. With the longest infinity pool in Palma and the different spaces for leisure and relaxation, guests can enjoy cocktails with exceptional views of the sea or the city.

Acoustics aligned with design

To control acoustics and maintain the comfort and well-being of guests, it was decided to implement an acoustic treatment in the common areas of the hotel. By having such high and demanding design standards, Rockfon®Mono® Acoustic was incorporated in restaurants, spas and reception to not compromise the design vision, as this solution perfectly molded and fitted with the aesthetics of the hotel.
