Supporting design professionals’ industry knowledge and development, Rockfon offers a new continuing education course, “Stone Wool Acoustical Ceilings,” available now in the September issue of Architectural Record and online in McGraw-Hill’s Continuing Education Center.

The course is approved by the American Institute of Architects’ Continuing Education System (AIA/CES) for one Learning Unit in health, safety and welfare (1.0 HSW LU) and by the Green Building Certification Institute for one hour toward LEED® credential maintenance (1.0 GBCI CE).

Those who complete “Stone Wool Acoustical Ceilings” will learn about:

  • The properties of natural material-based stone wool ceiling panels, including fire protection, dimensional stability, humidity resistance, mold and mildew resistance, impact resistance, light reflection as well as acoustic performance
  • The fundamentals of interior acoustical design treatment and how stone wool acoustical ceiling contribute to sustainable design and green buildings, including healthcare and educational settings
  • The design versatility of stone wool ceiling panels and suspension systems, including sizes, edge designs, colors and surface finishes, shapes and form

Rockfon also offers in-person AIA/CES courses on “Suspended Ceilings and Acoustical Solutions using Stone Wool” and “Designing with Metal Ceilings."
