Our lightweight Rockfon® Plenum Barrier Board works above our suspended acoustic ceilings to create a high-performing, sound insulation system. These acoustic sound blocking materials are designed for walls panels and would be installed in the plenum.

The ceiling can provide about 20-25 points of sound blocking. If you extend your STC 45 partition full height above the ceiling, the noise has to transmit through the ceiling, through the upper wall and back through the ceiling in the adjacent room.
