Rockfon’s range of ISO classified products utilize the natural strengths of stone wool for cleanroom design.

Moisture Resistance – Because it is made using basalt rock, stone wool is naturally moisture resistant. It provides no sustenance to mold, mildew, bacteria and other microorganisms such as MRSA. This helps maintain cleanliness without the addition of antimicrobials. In a recent white paper, Perkins+Will explain how “healthy” antimicrobial products are doing more harm than good.1 Stone wool’s natural strengths make it an ideal material for spaces where air cleanliness is vital.
