ROCKFON® introduced to attendees at 2013 CISCA Conference
An entirely new ceiling solution is now available in North America.
Frank Larsen, managing director for Central and Eastern Europe and North America, and Chris Marshall, sales director, North America, provided an introduction to ROCKFON® and its ceiling solutions during a presentation at the 2013 CISCA (Ceilings and Interior Systems Construction Association) Convention and Conference on March 20. ROCKFON®, a leading provider of ceiling solutions in Europe since 1962 and a company solely focused on the ceiling market, is now marketing and selling its products in North America.
Part of ROCKWOOL
Frank Larsen shared information about ROCKFON® and its parent company, ROCKWOOL International, which invented a process for turning basalt into stone wool, the base material used in the manufacturing of ceiling tiles, insulation and other products from ROCKWOOL-owned companies. Larsen told the group that ROCKFON has more than 220 employees worldwide, sales offices in 15 countries, and more than 20 representatives and distribution partners globally.
Unique performance characteristics
Chris Marshall explained the unique performance characteristics of ROCKFON® ceilings based on their stone wool composition for specifiers and customers in the office, healthcare and educations markets. Those benefits can be found in areas such as sound absorption, fire and water resistance, energy efficiency, dimensional stability, sustainability, design options, and ease-of-installation.
“Interior designers, architects, contractors and building owners in North America now have access to an entirely new ceiling solution, backed by a company with a depth and breadth of experience in the ceiling market,” said Marshall. “We look forward to helping customers create positive occupant experiences with our ceiling products.”
The session concluded with Chris Marshall highlighting ROCKFON® products for the North American market. The company’s portfolio includes suspended and monolithic ceilings, islands and baffles.
